Jean Tijou, a master blacksmith and French designer, was commissioned by William III to create a dozen elaborate iron screens for the gardens of Hampton Court Palace. These extravagant golden screens with rolled acanthus leaves became a magnificent backdrop to the grandeur and opulence of the Privy Garden, the King's private riverside garden, where they still stand today. Meticulously drawn and hand-painted, Tijou Gate is a wonderfully ornate panel design of ironwork and blooming flowers. This mural consists of 2 drops 70 cm wide x 350 cm high and can be repeated both left and right to complete the measurement of your walls.
