Rebel Walls
The brand Rebel Walls was founded in 2012 by Christofer and Irene Gimmersta, although as early as 1924, Christofer's grandfather started working as a messenger boy in a wallpaper store in Borås (Sweden). Little by little he rose in the business until he bought the business along with his son-in-law. Currently, the company maintains its headquarters in that city, from where it distributes murals all over the world.
The new generation, Christofer and Irene, met in high school in 1995. After graduating from university, they worked in a traditional wallpaper factory in Nässjö. The smell of freshly printed wallpaper made them fall madly in love with this whole world. Soon they learned about and became interested in new techniques for producing wallpaper. Digital printing was still something new when the couple decided to try it.
New techniques for creating wallpaper
Rebel Walls is the second of its wallpaper companies to adopt this specific printing technique and is focused on online commerce. Bringing together both their design studio and production under one roof, in addition to the luxury of convenience, is a good platform for carrying out quick but high-quality projects. At Rebel Walls, they prioritize projects with innovative and fun ideas, actively collaborating with influencers on numerous projects.
Their production is made possible by modern wallpaper machines that apply digital printing technology. The technique used by Rebel Walls differs from traditional wallpaper printing in several aspects. One of the notable features of their murals is that they are not limited to a certain number of colors or patterns. They also print on demand, meaning they make the mural especially for the customer once the order is placed.
They use an integrated production procedure, as their computer systems are specifically designed for wallpaper production. They cover the entire process, from online ordering to delivery. Therefore, they guarantee reduced delivery times and excellent product quality.
The proposal from Rebel Walls consists of a customized product, so they do not keep a stock of wallpapers and in this way avoid the risk of becoming obsolete and needing to discard them.
