Midbec

Midbec is a family-owned company with an innovative business model. It has been one of the leading wallpaper companies in Sweden since the company was founded in 1974. For the past 20 years, the company has been owned by Bengt Johnson, who started in the company as a sales representative over 30 years ago and has always been a true wallpaper nerd.

Midbec Tapeter has been from its beginnings a Swedish wallpaper brand that imported the best collections from Europe. Today it is much more than that as, for a few years now, they hired their first full-time designer and began marketing their own production. With the three star designers Hanna Wendelbo, Björn Nilsson, and Lina Schnaufer, they offer the designs and collections that consumers demand, beyond the Swedish market.

The design team at Midbec Tapeter is not new to each other, but they had been working together for several years at another Swedish company. The quartet is completed by the company's CEO, Bengt Johnson, with over 30 years of experience, who oversees the design process and contributes to all the company's processes.

Midbec knows the importance of paying attention to the smallest detail and uses this concept to create very characteristic decorative surfaces and structures with unique personality. The patterns range from geometric elements to floral motifs and all radiate warmth, delicacy, and comfort.

There are different collections and each one adapts to a specific style:

Blomstermåla Collection

With “Blomstermåla", Midbec presents soft colors and subtle patterns, inspired by Nordic nature and the four seasons. The collection is named after the Swedish village Blomstermåla, located in the municipality of Mönsterås.

Havsblick Collection

With “Havsblick", designer Hanna Wendelbo was inspired by a house by the sea and consists of classic stripes and floral designs on the walls. They are presented in calm and natural colors that bring a breath of fresh air to everyday life.

Lina Collection

With “Lina", Midbec consists of wallpapers created by illustrator and graphic designer Lina Schnaufer. The collection features floral patterns and organic shapes in natural colors that invite you to feel good.

Lyckebo Collection

The "Lyckebo" wallpapers from Midbec are designs by Mirabelle, Othilia, Clover, Sarah, Solvej, and Poppy; and showcase flowers of different sizes, shapes, and colors.
