About the Romo Group

Founded in 1902 by Robert Mould, Romo is a family business in its fifth generation. Based in Nottinghamshire, UK, with offices and showrooms in London, Europe, and the United States, The Romo Group now has six established brands, each with its own character and unique style. Each brand has its own design studio, creating a diverse range of fabrics, wallapaper, trimmings, and accessories to suit the tastes and needs of customers worldwide.

In 1902, Robert Mould, who gave his name to the company, opened a small business as a furniture manufacturer in Nottingham, England. By the 1930s, the company had developed into a wholesaler in the upholstery industry, supplying fabrics and components for furniture manufacturing. The company continued to evolve until the aspect of the business that dealt with furniture manufacturing ceased, and the supply of fabrics was taken on as the main focus of the company. In the 1980s, Romo founded its own design studio, injecting a new creative emphasis into design, which has redefined Romo as the design-led company we know today.

The group is currently led by the founder's great-grandson, Jonathan Mould, along with his granddaughter Lindsay and his children Felicity, Emily, and Jordan. With several showrooms and international distribution, The Romo Group has over 350 employees and is recognized worldwide, with exports accounting for approximately 70% of sales. Customer satisfaction and employee well-being are the foundation of the company's values, and although it has expanded significantly, Romo remains a family business.
